Like any quality polish application, the Shellac system features a Base Coat, Colour Coat and Top Coat. Unlike traditional polish it cures under a UV lamp so there is zero dry time. The results? 14-day, glorious, high-gloss shine that truly is addictive!

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Prepare the hands for a dry manicure. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water and dry them.

Step 2: Start filing the edges of the nails to shape them but don’t file the nail bed. Use a 240/240 grit file like the CND Kanga File

Step 3: Push back cuticles with a wooden cuticle stick and cut excess portions if needed.

Step 4: Soak a lint-free nail wipe with scrubfresh to clean the surface of the nails and to temporarily dehydrate the nail plate.

Step 5: Apply the CND Base Coat in preparation to applying the CND Shellac Color Coat. Remember to shake the bottle well before using in order for the ingredients to mix well.

Step 6: Using a Shellac 36 watt UV lamp, cure your nails for 10 seconds.

Step 7: Apply a very thin coat of your Shellac Colour Coat and remove excess polish from the skin using a nail corrector pen. Don’t worry if the color will show up sheer. A second coat will intensify the color later on.

Step 7: Cure the nails for 2 minutes using the Shellac 36-watt UV Lamp.

Step 8: Apply the second coat of your CND Shellac Color Coat.

Step 9: Once again, cure the nails for another 2 minutes. You may repeat process if you opt to have a 3rd coating to deepen the color.

Step 10: Now it’s time to apply the CND Shellac Top Coat You will also need to cure this for 2 minutes.

Step 11: Get a lint-free nail wipe and soak it with alcohol. Don’t use just any alcohol – it has got to be 99% alcohol. Anything less than that will not maximize the mirror-like shine of your nails.

Step 12: Finally, apply and massage CND Solar Oil (cuticle oil) to strengthen the nails and soften your cuticles. Use it daily to continue moisturizing the nails and cuticles and to prevent nail splitting.
